We generally call the older homes “mobile homes” and the newer ones “manufactured homes.” HUD manages a national building code for manufactured homes, which is completely different from the International Residential Code.
Mobile and manufactured homes are different in many ways from site-built homes. Therefore, they require some different methods and materials. Insulation levels in the roof, walls, and floors are minimal. You will learn of variety of air-sealing, insulation, and repair methods in this course.
