Question:

Can I buy REM/Rate software?

Answer: REM/Rate™ is not sold, but rather licensed annually to HERS Providers. The license agreement grants providers the use of the REM/Rate software, as many copies of the software as the HERS providers needs, free upgrades, and in many cases the right to sublicense to independent, certified HERS raters working within their program. In exchange, the HERS providers pay an annual license fee, and a rating/use fee for each home certified.
At this time licensing of REM/Rate is generally restricted to accredited HERS providers. However, there are many HERS providers throughout the country who can sublicense REM/Rate to raters working in their program.

REM/DESIGN
REM/DESIGN has the same functional capabilities of REM/Rate except no rating index is generated and Energy Star and IRS builder tax credit reports cannot be prepared.

Do your courses provide a certification?

Answer: Our courses are provided as comprehensive training and exam preparation for certification exams. Our courses do not provide a certification on their own and Saturn does not issue certifications.

How are classes scheduled?

Answer: Our classes are designed for full-time professionals who have limited time for outside study. The site is always open, and you can study at your own pace. We introduce a new topic each week, but you aren't required to be online at specific times.

An instructor guides the study of a group of students through the course. Courses usually begin on a Friday, at which time the first week's Resources are introduced. A new topic and additional Resources are introduced each of the following Fridays throughout the course.
Question:

How do I get my test result from my BPI or ResNest Exam?

Answer: You will get the certifications from BPI or ResNet once the training is complete and all information is turned in. This takes about 4-6 weeks to get. Saturn Resource Management does not give or have the certifications for you. You will on the other hand be able to print out a copy of a certificate of completion of the online course on the home page of your course at the bottom of the page.

How do I make a hyperlink in the Classroom Discussion?

Answer:

The best way to insert a hyperlink into the Discussion post is to use the "Insert Web Link" tool just above the forum post area. It looks like a little chain-link. Link icon

  1. Select the entire web address that you want to link to and copy it to the computer clipboard. Make sure you have the whole address selected or you link won't work.
  2. Create and compose your forum post.
  3. Select the words in the post you want to have as a hyperlink.
  4. Click on the hyperlink Link icon tool. A window will open.
  5. Paste the URL have copied into the first field.
  6. Name the hyperlink in the second field. This is the text that will appear when someone hovers their mouse over the hyperlink.
  7. Pull down the target to New Window which makes the link open in a new browser window.
  8. Use the anchor selector if you're geeky enough to know how to use it.
  9. Click OK and then admire your new hyperlink.
