Saturn Online is working to develop a network of RESNET Providers who offer face-to-face follow-up training for graduates our eight-week online HERS Rater courses.

The typical graduate of our course will have a strong grasp of the core competencies and building science principles that are required by HERS Raters. The follow-up training should dovetail with these abilities, and should include a primer on manual skills that can't be effectively taught online. It should also provide an opportunity to perform administrative tasks that must be done in person to meet RESNET standards, and it might include some or all of these components:

• Hands-on blower door training
• Hands-on rating software data entry
• Supervision of two initial ratings
• Administration of the RESNET National Rater Test

If your organization is interested in developing a package of services that support our graduates, we'd be glad to provide assistance as you craft a curriculum. We'll also add your course description to the list of training providers that is included in our students' resource materials.
